"Tshakhruk" festival 2024

On August 31, 2024, the 4th Annual International Inclusive “Tshakhruk” Festival of National Music for People with Special Needs took place in Gosh village, Tavush Province.

The festival brought together approximately 350 participants from all regions of the Republic of Armenia, including beneficiaries of 24-hour care centers, daycare centers, general education and art schools, as well as participants from the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the festival, an exhibition of participants’ handmade artworks was organized, along with boccia games.

The festival’s special guests included Grammy Award–winning musician and founder of the “Armenian Navy” band Arto Tunçboyacıyan, Vahagn Hayrapetyan, master woodwind instrument maker Norayr Kartashyan, and the State Song and Dance  Ensemble of Armenia named after Tatul Altunyan.

The festival’s partners were the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, and the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia.

The guiding philosophy of the festival is “Physical possibilities are worth noting without a soaring soul”
