"Tshakhruk" festival 2025
In 2025, the 5th Anniversary Annual International Inclusive “Tshakhruk” Festival of National Music for People with Special Needs was held on September 26–28 in the garden area of the Kharberd Specialized Children’s Home, located in Nor Kharberd village, Ararat Province.
On September 26, an international conference titled “The Art of Liberating the Soul: From Self-Awareness to Human Compassion” took place.
The conference focused on themes of spiritual and emotional self-discovery, inner liberation, and the deepening of human connections. It served as an open platform for both professionals and all individuals interested in personal development, care, and self-reflection. The conference was attended by approximately 200 specialists working in orphanages, general education and art schools, and care centers.
On September 27, a professional training workshop on psychoanalysis through art therapy was held. The training was conducted by members of the Art Therapy Association of the Republic of Armenia. Around 150 specialists from all orphanages of the Republic of Armenia, schools from various regions, daycare centers, territorial pedagogical-psychological support centers (TPPSCs), and other institutions participated in the training.
On September 28, the concert program of the festival took place, featuring 400 children and adults from specialized orphanages, care centers, nursing homes, art and secondary schools across the Republic of Armenia, as well as participants from the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The festival’s special guests were the “Horovel” Song and Dance Ensemble of Vanadzor and the “Vanakn” Traditional Dance Group.
The festival’s partners were the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, and the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia.
The guiding philosophy of the festival is: “Physical possibilities are worth noting without a soaring soul.”
